Brother Smith donated airplane rides in his 40 year old Cessna, to be auctioned off at a fund raiser.

Zane and Noah went up Also.
I haven't been up in a small "fixed wing" plane either, but I came close. Uncle Harvey Young and his son Gene landed at the Delta airport one day in the mid fifties. They called Abraham and we drove to Delta to ferry them to our home. After a good meal and good conversation, we ferried them back to the airport. They offered us rides with teen age Gene as the pilot. The plane was a "tail dragger" meaning that the front stuck up high blocking forward visibility. Gene started the engine and began to taxi when all of a sudden "crash bang, grind groan" he ran smack dab into a portable service ramp that was hidden from his field of view. The tips of the propeller blades were bent over into an L shapes. "NO AIRPLANE RIDES FOR NOBODY" I doubt the ride could have been more memorable than the CRASH!
What a great experience, I've never been up in a small plane.
